00:01 The theme for September, which lines up with our theme, Yahweh Explosion. 00:10 It's commissioned beyond yourself, what we're going to talk about. 00:17 But this month, we want to talk about destined for impact. 00:23 Because every one of you, you have a destiny. 00:29 You have an assignment. 00:33 God has sent you. You've been commissioned beyond you. 00:41 And I'm going to use the terms anointing, impartation, and mental in this series. 00:50 But allow us to use them interchangeably to refer to what God places upon your life, the power of God on your life. 01:02 The divine ability that God places upon you for you to fulfill your assignment. 01:09 Everyone on earth, I believe in my heart of hearts, has a role to play in the broader scheme of God's plan. 01:19 You're not here hitchhiking. 01:22 You're not here... You have an assignment... 01:30 Beyond any shadow of doubt, black or white, European, American, Asian, African, young, old, you have an assignment. You are here to fulfill purpose. 01:44 God has determined that certain things will happen through your life. 01:51 As a matter of fact, he determined those things even before you were born. Amen. 01:57 I'm not implying that everything has... No. There are things that the devil does bring. But everything that has to do with your destiny, God planned beforehand. 02:10 But even if he has planned it, if you do not apprehend it, if you don't take hold of it, you will live an ordinary life. 02:21 Can I hear an amen? 02:23 You are destiny's child. 02:46 The reality is that unfortunately, not everyone on this earth lives that way. This is why I said you are destined for impact. But the truth is not everybody lives a life of impact. 02:59 really what determines the quality of life you live on earth is how much you've grasped that reality of what you are destined for and how you make decisions concerning your life for you to be able to fulfill your destiny, what you expose yourself to, the places you go, who you connect with, what you read, what you give your time to, what you give your energy to. 03:28 Everything in life about your destiny, important. 03:33 John 15, 16, the verse that Pastor Ray loved by his spiritual father. He used to love this verse. So I'm going to quote it from now onwards. 03:47 Listen to what Jesus says. He says, you have not chosen me. 03:53 You didn't choose me. 03:56 He found you. 03:58 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. 04:02 And ordained you. Look at your neighbor and say, I'm chosen. I'm ordained. 04:08 Look at your other neighbor and say, neighbor. 04:11 You are chosen and ordained. 04:15 Tell them again. They don't believe you. You are chosen and you are ordained. 04:20 So Jesus says, number one, we are chosen. All right. Number two, we are ordained. 04:27 Chosen for what? Ordained for what? 04:30 That we should go and bring forth fruit. 04:34 Let's have that verse on the screen, please. We are chosen. We are ordained that we should go and bring forth fruit. So we are chosen. We are ordained for fruitfulness. Amen. 04:48 Let's rephrase. We are chosen, we are ordained for productivity. 04:56 So whatever you've been chosen for, whatever you've been ordained for, you'll be productive, you'll be successful in it, you'll achieve well, you will move forward in it. But Salana, let's not apologize for success. Let's not apologize for doing well. Do you understand what I'm saying? Don't apologize for moving forward in life. You know, there's no way in the Bible where God is opposed to people who are doing well. 05:25 Everywhere in the Bible, God always wishes good for us. 05:30 Yeah. In the epistle of John, my little children, he says, I wish above all things that you should prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. It's the Lord who does good in us. 05:43 The Lord who blesses us. The Lord who wants us to move forward. In Deuteronomy chapter 14 says, I will bless you coming in, bless you going out. 05:52 You'll be the head and not the tail. You'll be above only and not beneath. God wants you to do well. 05:58 So let's stop apologizing, Baselana, for doing well. Don't apologize for your success. Don't apologize for your prosperity. Don't apologize for your fruitfulness. He says, I have brought you into this world to be fruitful. 06:11 So God wants us to be productive. 06:13 God wants whatever area you are to be doing well. 06:19 But you'll only do well in the area in which you were chosen and you were ordained. 06:26 That you should go and bring forth food, that your fruit should remain. As the Father in my name, he'll give you. So there's also prayer fruit. 06:34 Fruitfulness when we pray. Another translation says, it was not you that picked me out. 06:42 But I picked you. 06:44 So then we're chosen. Let's look at it for a while. 06:48 We've talked about it in the past. I want to talk about it again today. But I want to go into more detail on it. 06:53 I'm going to ask you to let it settle in your heart. 06:57 You've got to live as one who knows what they are chosen for. 07:02 The word chosen is the Greek word and I'll spell it E-K-L-E-G-O-M-A-I. It's on the screen. 07:10 And in brackets, that's the phonetic way of writing the name, that word. So you can pronounce it in a phonetic way if you want. 07:19 We'll pray for you afterwards. 07:23 And that word, it means to select. You are selected. 07:30 It means to make choice. 07:33 It means choose or choose out. You are picked out. 07:39 You were selected. 07:42 You know, I just love the way, you know, mostly, mostly, not all the time, but mostly the way the ladies do shopping. 07:50 You know, and even some of us men, but not so many of us are that good. But you ladies are good. You know, I love watching it. When you go into the shop, you know, and you know what you do, ladies, right? You want one pair of shoes, but they bring a hundred to you. 08:07 And you try them all for several hours. And I love watching the person serving you. 08:12 The way they do it with a smile at the beginning. But 30 minutes later, they're not sure if they should be smiling. And after one hour, they're smiling in faith. And after all, I think it's going to happen next time. 08:28 But you know what I love? Bill Ibers used to say this. He used to say, you know what I love? It's the gift that my wife buys me. Same thing, my bishop. When she buys me that gift, every time we bula, it has an explanation. 08:40 I'll tell you why. Because there's a reason why she chose that in particular. She thought of this, thought of that, thought of this, thought of this. So she buys that gift, you know. It's a chosen gift, you know. 08:51 No, no, no, no, no. It's a chosen gift. 08:56 Picked out. 08:58 You've been picked out. 09:00 You've been selected. 09:02 Right? This is the term like we use. I told you before. The middle voice. 09:08 The middle voice means to choose for oneself. 09:11 When you use that term in the middle voice, it means you choose for oneself. 09:17 Not necessarily implying that what you did not choose is not important. 09:24 But what you did not choose does not serve the purpose. 09:29 So what you have chosen is specific. It serves purpose. It's fit for the purpose. 09:36 So it's that use of grammar, as we said in the past, that lawyers use. But if you want to go before the courts and argue your case out as a legal person, Look at your neighbor who doesn't know what we're talking about. So this is what happens. When lawyers argue out a case, they are very specific. 10:08 Many of you are listening. There are many legal people here. They use specific words. 10:24 So that practice is called the middle voice. What does it mean? It means they pick out certain words, they choose particular words, certain vocabulary to argue their case in court. 10:37 But they'll only select specific words that express what they're saying that will cause for their case to be favored. 10:47 But them not using other words doesn't mean those other words don't matter. But it means those other words are not fit for purpose. 10:56 Choosing specifically those words is because they want to get favor. They want to make sure that their case is in their favor. 11:06 So not only have you and I been, we have not only, the Bible tells us that God has chosen us. What does it mean? It means there are things that are meant for you. 11:18 You are the middle voice for them. 11:22 That the other person has not been assigned by God to that task, it doesn't mean they don't have the gift or the talent, but it means that they are not the right people. 11:31 Almost like when you come to a door and you have keys in your hand and only Y13 opens that door. 11:39 So if you put in Y3, it doesn't mean it's not a key. It doesn't mean it doesn't have value. But it means it is not the right key for that particular door. 11:49 You're not here. You don't understand. 11:52 And this is why people go through frustrations in life. 11:57 Because they are trying to open the door. 12:01 That's not the right door for them. They are not the key for that door. 12:06 Think about it. If you stand in front of a door where you need a Y13, Marwan, also a Y3. Even if you can pray, curse the devil, do spiritual warfare. Come on. Even if you can see God. Come on now. Are you listening to what I'm saying? The door's not going to open. Not because anything is against you. Not because the devil is against you. But because you just have the wrong key. 12:26 And this is the frustration that some of you find in your careers. 12:35 You are in a career where you are a misplaced person. 12:40 And because you are misplaced, you are not able to see fruitfulness, success. You deal with hurdles all the time. 12:48 You know that people are always in crisis mode. Every day, you don't like that one. 13:05 So you are chosen. Tell your neighbor, I'm chosen. 13:09 Tell your other neighbor, I'm the middle voice. 13:11 Tell your other neighbor, I am Y13 and not Y3. 13:18 Now, I know, sometimes we become, you know, we become, we are involved in more than just one particular calling. 13:29 Okay? 13:30 So, you know, you don't just do one thing. You've got several things. You are bivocational or tri-vocational or four-vocational. 13:43 But you are more than one vocational. But there's always, there'll always be the dominant vocation. 13:51 And when you operate in that area where you're chosen, you are the middle voice. 13:56 But I want to show you something. Not only are you the right key, but it says here, you've been ordained. Not only are you chosen, not only are you Y13 and not Y3, but you have been ordained. The word ordained there, if you want to write it, it's the word T-H-I-T-H-E-M-I. 14:19 All right? 14:22 Tell your neighbor, say, I'm the T-H-I- T-H-E-M-I. 14:29 Yeah, that's who you are. 14:31 And that word means to set. 14:35 To set. 14:38 It means to place. 14:42 To lay put. 14:44 I love it. 14:46 Let's go through these words. To appoint. 14:49 To set. 14:52 That expression of setting, it's exactly what we find in the book of Genesis. When God created the heavens and the earth, He set the moon and the stars in their position. 15:08 Think about it. Thousands of years have come and gone. All kinds of weather patterns have come and gone. The sun and the moon are exactly where God plays them. 15:19 You can move them. You can shake them. 15:23 They're exactly where God plays them. 15:26 What does it mean? Where God has sent you, even if people can upset you, God will take you back to where he has sent you. 15:36 People can steal what you have done, but they cannot steal what you carry from God. 15:45 Now people who come and topple people, kick them out of their business, take all your business plan, run away with it, take all your clients, run away with it. Well, they will succeed for a while. 15:55 They'll succeed for a while. But you see, they can't take what God has placed on your life. God has set you there. The sun and the moon are still exactly where God placed them. 16:07 Many years later. 16:09 Somebody said, if God doesn't set you, he will upset you. 16:14 But if God has set you, nobody will upset you. 16:18 You've been set. 16:21 Oh yeah. 16:23 That word not only means to be set, it means to assign. 16:28 You have an assignment. Take your vocation as an assignment. 16:37 Put that level of seriousness into it. 16:44 Place that amount of commitment, whatever it is. 16:47 Whatever it is, take it as an assignment. 16:51 Realize the difference that you bring when you are the best of who you should be. 17:00 That word also means, I love this one. 17:05 It means to purple or to design. 17:13 Wow. 17:15 When it comes to designs, designs don't just happen. Wow. A designer starts first with what is it that I want to do? 17:29 But what is it that I want to do is an answer or a response to solving a problem. 17:37 I'm designing an aircraft. I'm designing an aeroplane. 17:42 Why am I designing it? I want something that will be able to fly cross over the oceans. 17:50 And when I design it, it must be able to deal with the weather patterns. 17:56 It must be able to be stable up there. 17:59 It doesn't fall apart in the sky. It must be able to handle all the things. 18:04 That's what I'm trying to come up with. And then after you have finished what you want the item to do, you go into the stage of creation and designing and engineering. 18:19 And you use everything you need to design to early. 18:25 Most of you don't realize. 18:27 Inside of you, you carry all that you need for your assignment. 18:34 It was placed in you on that day when God assigned you. In fact, even before you came forth, Not only did I know you, but I ordained you to be a prophet to the nations. 18:58 I was looking at a program sometime last week, and a very interesting program of this pilot who was actually talking about... He posts these videos where he tries to get people to be calm when it comes to flying. Because, you know, when you're up there, even if you have faith, certain things when they happen, you are not sure. So he said, you know, there are so many myths about... 19:28 aircraft safety. 19:31 And then he comes up with statistics. I couldn't believe it. 19:36 Did you know you stand a higher chance of being struck by lightning than crashing in an airplane? 19:46 Yeah, I know. 19:48 That's what they're saying. If you think about it right now, right now, as we speak, there are thousands of planes that are airborne. 19:56 There are thousands of people are in those planes. 20:00 They're going everywhere. 20:02 And yet you'll find that for the next month, there will not be even one accident. 20:08 Not one, no, no, no, not one. 20:14 And most of the time, statistics show that if a plane should ever crash because of weather or anything, most of the times, if not always, it's human error. 20:26 And even those instances, they are very, very few. As a matter of fact, if you go into the design of the planes, the way they design them, you know when God designs you, just like when he designs you, before they send it up to go and fly, in the designing stage, the wings of the plane. 20:46 are designed such that even as they're flying and you see the wings flapping, those wings don't break. Actually, they stress test them and push them so hard to almost a point of breaking. So they always will make them to be much more stronger than the worst turbulence. 21:08 So when you are in a plane and the wings are going this way, you are surprised the pilot is calm. 21:15 And when you're sitting and you're looking at that wing, it keeps on going up. 21:25 Because they will tell you, even on a turbulence, and I don't like it when they say this. I believe them, but it doesn't feel like it. They say, it's not a safety issue, it's a comfort issue. 21:38 Because it happens when a plane is flying through a body of air that's unstable. 21:45 That's what causes the turbulence. So it bumps out. There's different kinds. We are not going to go into that. 21:50 But the plane is designed to handle that. 21:54 Or sometimes when a plane gets caught in a storm. 21:58 And once you're in a storm, you know, weather like this, this is not too bad. But the thermal is very, it's raining. It's dark. You get up there, it's dark. You can't see anything. You're in that clouds. Nothing. You can't see. You don't know where you're going. You don't know. 22:13 Even worse, because, you know, our sense of balance has bad. You know, your sense of balance is determined by things relative to other things. That's how you get balance. But when you are caught up in a place where you just don't see anything around you, you lose your sense of balance. So, you're in a plane, you don't know if you're going up, you're going down, you're going west, you're going south, you don't know. You don't know. You're just praying, oh my God. 22:38 I was in a plane like that few years ago, 1996, small aircraft, six-seater aircraft. I was on my way to Mtata to preach for Pastor Don, the one that you saw on the screen. God bless him. 22:51 And there was this small company, Mutavia Airlines. I think they're not there anymore. And so they were used to fly small planes. So we would get into this plane. 23:01 The pilot, the co-pilot looks at us and says, folks, when we came up here, it was very bumpy. 23:07 We're about to fly out. The weather forecast is that it's going to get worse. 23:11 And I'm thinking, hmm. 23:14 And it's a small plane. It's a six-seater. It's a small plane. Three white guys and me. And the two pilots. You know? So we, you know, and we're flying to Mtata. You know when you're flying to Mtata, you go through the dragon's back and you go over Lesotho. And I tell you, more Lesotho, more. I can tell you, I can tell Lesotho, Italy. 23:35 Five minutes, 15 minutes into the flight, we started bumping around. 23:40 I mean, it was bad. 23:47 And because it's a small aircraft, it took longer to get there. One hour, 15 minutes. I mean, it should take us 45 minutes. No, one hour, 15 minutes. We were bouncing around, bouncing around, bouncing around. You know, they had left a cooler bag there with food inside, and they said, look, it's a small aircraft, case of service. 24:03 None of us, no, nobody here. We just... And these three white guys, they acted like they're sleeping. Ah! Ah! Ah! 24:14 You don't want to see when you die. 24:19 Man, it was bad. 24:21 Finally, we landed. Actually, Pastor Don said, I wasn't expecting all of you to land. 24:27 Because in weather like this, usually they turn the planes back. I don't know what was wrong with that pilot of ours. It handled the turbulence. 24:36 I'm trying to tell somebody, no matter how turbulent your journey is... 24:42 No matter how turbulent your journey is, you've been designed by God to handle the turbulence. Don't move away from your career. Don't walk away from what you're called for. You understand? Don't start speaking negatively. Don't allow people to put pressure on you. You have all that it takes. 25:05 And the only way for the pilot to get out of the storm, when you lose your sense of direction, when you suffer from this thing called vertical, when you don't know if you're going up, you're going down, you've got to look at your instruments. Look at your instruments. And whatever you see on those instruments, trust it. Even if you feel like you're going up, if the instrument says you're going down, trust it. I'm here to tell somebody, when you hear spiritual vertical, trust the voice of God. Trust the word of God. Trust what he told you about your destiny. 25:38 Why? 25:39 Because you have been designed. 25:45 You've been designed. 25:49 You've been designed. 25:52 You've been designed to succeed in your calling. 26:01 You've been designed to handle the turbulence. 26:07 You've been designed. 26:10 Most people don't realize what they carry because they want a smooth path. 26:16 They don't want turbulence. 26:19 Somehow they make an assumption that because this is God's will, we're not going to be in turbulence. 26:26 And have you realized God doesn't take away the turbulence? 26:31 He says to Simon Peter, Simon Peter, the devil has decided to sift you as wheat. I prayed for you. 26:41 I prayed for you. 26:43 Not for the devil to stop. No, I prayed for you that you must hold steady in the turbulence. That your faith must not fail you. That's what I prayed for. 26:53 Yeah. I prayed for you. 26:56 That your faith should not fail you. 26:59 Paul, when he writes, he says, I am going to Jerusalem and the Holy Spirit is witnessing to me all the pressure and all the persecution that I'm going to face there and all the evil that I'm going to face. 27:13 None of these things move me. 27:18 None of these things move me. Why? So that I should be able to finish. 27:24 I'm here to tell somebody you will finish in spite of the turbulence. Come on now, you're going to finish. Even if it may take you longer to get there, you're going to finish. Even if there are times when you have spiritual vertical, you don't know what's going on. You're going to finish. 27:39 Why? Because God has designed you. 27:42 God has ordained you. God took his time to make you. God has taken you through the spiritual stress test. He knows you are not going to break. He knows you are not going to walk away. He knows you are going to get there. 28:00 And sometimes you need to let the journey take its course for you to discover that this is not going to break no matter how much you pulled it. 28:12 And when you get to that revelation and you get to that stage in your life, you speak like Paul has said, none of these things move me. 28:25 I'm not even going to try and pray them away. I'm going to talk like David that even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. You know why I will fear no evil? Because God is with me. God's not going to send you where he's not going to stand by you. If he sends you there, he's going to stand by you. He's going to walk with you. He's going to carry you. Can I hear an amen in the house? He's going to carry me. 28:55 He's going to carry you. 28:57 Yeah. 29:00 But he only carries you in the assignment he's given you. 29:07 He says, you have not chosen me. 29:16 I've chosen you. 29:20 And because I've chosen you, I've ordained you, I've designed you. 29:25 The word chosen, not only means to design, it means to play separately. 29:32 When you understand your calling, your calling will demand certain commitments from you. 29:49 Your calling will demand of you to live in a certain way, to have certain commitments that are different from other people. You see, it will demand certain things from you because we understand that if I'm going to fulfill that, I've got to do that. So you have to live a separated life, not an isolated life, but a separated life. There are things that you do. There are commitments that you have. There are things that you've done in your heart. There's a vow you've made before God in your spirit. There are things that you say, I'm not going to cross that line. 30:20 There are things that you say, I'm not going there. I'm not talking there. Because I want to finish what God has called me. Can I hear an amen? You live a separated life. 30:31 That's why people of purpose. 30:34 They have a set of rules, values, commitments. 30:40 They've got covenants they've cut with God on the inside of them that I'm not going to cross that. 30:48 If others cross it up, I cross a marabona. They don't have my assignment. I can't do what they do because if I do what they do, I can't finish what God has called me. I've got to live a separated life. Do we have people here who live a separated life? Separated life. 31:06 There's a way I have to live my life and carry myself. 31:12 That matches with my assignment. 31:15 If I'm going to win and I'm going to be a sprinter, I have to train more hours. I have to eat the right food. I've got to get rest more than other people. If I'm going to out sprint them, there are things that I can't do. I can't be there overnight and expect the following day to perform good. It can't happen. I've got to be out there and do something. Do we have people here who are going to live a separated life? 31:40 God says, I've separated you. 31:44 That word means also to reserve. 31:50 Before God uses you, that seems to have nothing to do with your assignment. 32:09 He makes you to serve others. He makes you to do other things. 32:17 I know you are talented. I know you have what it takes. You've got to learn other things. Joseph, it's not your time to rule over your brothers, Joseph. You understand? It's not your time to rule over your father and your mother, Joseph. I'm going to take you to the pit. I'm going to take you to prison. I'm going to cause Potiphar's wife to try and test you. Are you understanding, Joseph? I'm going to cause your friend to betray you, Joseph. I'm going to cause your family to hate you, Joseph. Do you understand, Joseph? I'm going to cause you to come out of prison and go back to prison. I'll put you on reserve. I'll put you on reserve. 32:48 But don't let the bench destroy you. 32:54 Let that time haule in reserve and you see others playing. And when you are not playing, even if you think you are ready, let it be a time. 33:12 And take that as part of the journey. 33:16 Let me close. 33:18 Let me close. 33:21 That word ordain means to a point before. 33:28 What does it mean? 33:30 Your death was not an accident. 33:33 Your birth rather was not an accident. 33:37 Even if your parents may have said, you. 33:40 You. You. 33:52 Before... Before... Before... Before... Before... You were formed... 34:28 I knew you even before you were an embryo in your mother's womb. I knew you. 34:39 So you were not born to find what to do. 34:49 You must discover . You were born, your purpose was set before . We are the work of his hand. 35:10 To walk in the good works that God has prepared before. 35:16 That we should walk in them. So when you came into the world, your assignment was there waiting for you. 35:27 There's a preacher there. There's a business person there. There's a politician there. There's a doctor there. There's a lawyer there. 35:38 Because they just see the outward appearance. In this child, there's a doctor there. 35:46 And as God guides you, The biggest day in your life is the day you discover what you were born for. 35:57 Changes your life forever. 36:00 Because now, I'm not out here trying to test things. 36:04 I'm here now committing my life to what I came into this world for. So this month, I'm going to learn how to be people of impact. 36:14 Can you stand on your feet? Please give the Lord a big hand of praise because it's worth it to be praised. 36:20 That doesn't sound like a big hand of praise. 36:25 Hallelujah. 36:31 I've asked you to stand because I want to give somebody an opportunity like Gabby who was given an opportunity a few years ago, September 2023. She came into church. 36:53 But what a day it was. 36:56 Some of you have come. It might be your first time, little more. 36:59 Might not be. 37:01 You came in this cold weather and some of you may not even know wildly. 37:06 But as you are sitting there, you realize, you know what? 37:09 This is a day where I bump into my destiny. 37:16 It starts with With doing what Gabriels did. 37:21 Inviting Christ as Savior and Lord. 37:25 Some of you in the churches that are live streaming. Right where you are in that building. 37:30 We've got leaders who are standing by to assist you. 37:33 I'm talking to you right in that place. 37:36 That you can give your life to Christ like Gabriels did. 37:41 And she gave her life to Christ. You can do the same. 37:44 So as we stand all over the place, can we bow our heads and close our eyes? And if you're here this morning and you say, I want to give my life to Christ. 37:57 I'm not talking about attending church regularly. I'm not talking about doing good things. I'm talking about asking Christ to come into my heart. 38:07 You may have been one who has grown up here in church, but you never made that decision at all. 38:13 But today as you are here, you can tell in your heart, I want to come to know Christ as Savior and Lord. Heads bowed, eyes closed, not only here, but in all other campuses as well. 38:25 If it is you who needs prayer, I want to pray for you. 38:30 Would you raise your hand right where you are, if that is you? 38:34 I want to pray for you. Thank you, young men. 38:37 Thank you for those hands. I see several hands going up. 38:41 Oh, you are a blessed people coming to church on a day like this one.
