Derek Prince Legacy Radio International

Today we begin a power-packed series—one that could literally change the course of your life. As you listen, you’ll discover the many benefits of proclaiming the Word of God in your life, and how you can affect the lives of others through “The Power of Proclamation.”

God’s Word is supernaturally powerful. And, to that end, Derek brings out some very interesting and compelling Scriptures in today’s lesson. He also said: “If the Spirit of God propels the Word of God through your mouth, it is as effective as it was when God spoke the universe into being.” Listen now to hear more on this astounding truth.

We can actually release the judgments and blessings of God that are written in the Scripture through the “Power of Proclamation.” God has given us the ability to affect change not only in our lives personally, but also bring about change for loved ones and even for entire nations!

Today, we’ll hear some examples from Derek of what he referred to as “self-defense” Scriptures—Scriptures we can proclaim for very specific situations in our personal lives. We believe you’ll be greatly encouraged by what he had to share.

Derek issues a challenge to us to move beyond praying and proclaiming for just our own needs. Instead, we need to get past what he called “self-defense” proclamations, and rise up to a more aggressive level of proclamation. Become involved in praying and proclaiming over national and international affairs, too.

Derek begins this four-week study by addressing the reality of two opposing spiritual kingdoms, which are at war with one another. These are the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. Using Scripture, Derek gives us a picture of levels of rulerships within Satan’s kingdom.

Today Derek uses two passages to examine the origin of Satan, or Lucifer, who served God in heaven as an angel, but who became proud and was cast down. Derek gives a description of this created being who wanted to be above God and who then led a rebellion among the angels.

Derek points out that Scripture speaks of “heavens” in the plural, and then gives us his understanding of the three divisions. God is in the third and highest heaven and Satan is in the second. Using the experience of Daniel, Derek reveals how demonic forces in the second heaven can actually hold up answers to prayers.

Today we will look at what was going on in the spirit realm during Daniel’s twenty-one day fast. From the first day Daniel set his heart to seek God, the angel Gabriel was sent to speak with Daniel but was held back by demonic activity in the heavens. Michael the Archangel was sent to help Gabriel to get through. This story will bring clarity to our understanding of unseen things when we seek God.

Finishing this first week’s study, Derek highlights several areas by which Satan attempts to rule over men, beginning with rebellion, then pride. Satan’s two main ambitions are to dominate the whole human race, and to receive worship. Witchcraft, the natural religion of fallen man, permeates the whole human race.

Derek begins his study by looking at the connection between witchcraft and rebellion against God. Using the example of King Saul and the prophet Samuel, Derek shows us that when rebellion rejects the authority of God’s Word then witchcraft comes in.

Today we look at the first of three aspects of witchcraft and its working within the church. The operation of witchcraft as a work of the flesh has three key action words. It seeks to manipulate, intimidate, and dominate. Derek begins by giving examples of how these work in everyday life.

Derek finishes looking at how the works of the flesh operate by manipulation and intimidation. He then begins looking at witchcraft in its second aspect, through such things as spells and curses. Derek uses the example of Balaam from the Old Testament, who was what we might call a witch doctor.

Today we look first at divination, or fortune-telling, which is the knowledge element of witchcraft. Second comes sorcery, or occult activity, which is usually done through objects such as potions, charms, music or drugs. The third area of witchcraft is that which works within the church to obscure the revelation of the reality of Jesus Christ crucified.

Derek finishes this week’s study by looking at how witchcraft can gain control within the church through legalism and the works of the flesh. When this happens, we find we are no longer trusting in the supernatural grace and power of God. Instead, we are trusting what we can do in our own strength.

Derek begins this week’s study on the spirit of antichrist by explaining the real meaning of the phrase. Its purpose is to exclude the Messiah, and then replace Him with a false messiah. In time, humanity will be forced to choose between the real and the false.

Derek reveals through Scripture that there are three forms of antichrist. First, there are many antichrists, and in the course of history many have appeared on the world’s stage. Second, there is the Antichrist who will arise at the end of the age to dominate the human race for a brief period. The third form is the spirit of antichrist, which operates through those who deny that Jesus is the Messiah.

Today we look at men who claimed to be the Messiah and led many Jews astray. Then Derek delves into the origin of Mohammed and the religion of Islam. He explains some of its teachings, warning of the dangers it presents, revealing Islam’s denial that Jesus is the Son of God.

In this session Derek finishes looking at the spirit of Antichrist, which he began yesterday. Then he begins to deal with the person known as the antichrist. He notes that the “falling away” or apostasy must occur first. This apostasy a deliberate rejection of revealed truth, and it will open the door for this man.

Derek turns to the book of Revelation to look at the Lion, who is the Lamb, to contrast Him to the Antichrist who is identified as a wild beast. He then comments on the work of the beast on earth with most of humanity worshiping him, and how he will persecute the saints.

Derek begins this final talk by looking at the end-time church in the book of Revelation to describe who are overcomers. Jesus spoke to the seven churches in the early chapters, giving promises to everyone who overcomes. God has made it possible to overcome and He expects us to overcome. But we must do our part.

Today we look at weapons useful in our warfare. These weapons are not carnal but spiritual, reaching deep within the battlefield of the mind. We must guard against division in the church, and know and proclaim the whole of God’s Word. Are you ready to fight?

Derek continues to look at what is needed for the church to be victorious over its enemies. All of God’s Word must be proclaimed and taught—for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. Humbling ourselves with fasting is another important weapon the church must utilize.

In Ephesians Paul tells us to take up the whole armor of God. Derek highlights the fact that it is the believers who must take it up, put it on, and also use the weapon of “all prayer.” Derek then shows us the need to use the supernatural gifts of God to demonstrate the reality of God’s power. We proclaim the gospel while confronting the powers of darkness.

Derek finishes this series by speaking about the power of praise to silence the enemy and the avenger. God has given this ability to our mouths—to use words to praise Him and to proclaim His Word over all situations. As we continual to do this, victory is assured. We will see the defeat of our enemies.

Derek begins this study of eternal judgment by first distinguishing between judgments that take place in historical settings, and eternal judgment that will confront us as we step out of time into eternity. He then begins a look at five principles of God’s Judgment.

Today we look at three remaining principles or reasons for God’s judgment when appearing before Him. Derek then lists five main features of the judgment before Christ for believers. This will be a personal, individual assessment of the service of our lives, but without condemnation.

Derek notes that he is not talking about a judgment of condemnation for the believer in Christ, but that which looks at the service we have offered to Jesus during our lives on earth. Derek begins by looking at two parables concerning our faithfulness to use what God has given us.

Derek looks at the Parable of the Talents today by going through what each person was given and how the talents were invested and what rewards were given. He notes that God gives talents according to what He knows you can do with them. Believe in the trust He has in you. You can use those talents for Him—don’t hide them away.

Finishing this study of eternal judgment, Derek reveals how Israel will be judged for their disobedience and unfaithfulness to God, but that they will be saved when they recognize Jesus as their Messiah. The Gentile nations will then be finally dealt with for their part in dividing up Israel’s land.

Derek begins this study of the resurrection by first defining what it is. He then looks at what happened at death to the spirit, soul, and body of those who died before Jesus was resurrected. Keep in mind that the death and resurrection of Jesus produced a change in the universe. It was the most decisive event in history, and it affected what happened to those who died.

Derek explains here how the resurrection of Jesus impacted man’s spirit, soul, and body. As the church, we are Christ’s body and so we are partakers of His resurrection. We will have glorious bodies just like His. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself just as Jesus is pure.

Today’s study looks more at five specific changes that will happen when we put on our glorified bodies. We will have a spiritual body, controlled by the Spirit and not led by the human soul. In weakness our bodies are sown, but in power they will be raised.

Derek looks at several Scriptures that prophesy the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. These prophets witnessed these events hundreds of years before they happened. Then Derek gives us a list of witnesses still alive after the resurrection of Jesus. The whole history of the universe revolves around this resurrection of Jesus.

Today Derek concludes this theme of the resurrection of the dead by explaining the importance of Christ’s resurrection. He points out that our own resurrection is the completion of our redemption. Jesus died for the whole person. His salvation includes spirit, soul, and body, and that salvation is not complete until we have been resurrected and are again with Him.

Derek begins this study noting that time is something we are passing through; the things we experience here in this life are but for a moment. One day we will pass out of time into eternity which is our permanent, ultimate reality. What we do here and now will affect who we are in eternity.

Today Derek outlines the importance of biblical prophecy as light for us in this dark world. He stresses the importance for us to pay attention to what Scripture says, and get to know what God has revealed and wants us to understand. Then we must obey and act on these words.

Derek looks at end-time prophecies, showing us that though the world gets darker, our rest and our confidence must be in the Lord. We must endure. The church Jesus wants will not be deterred by opposition or persecution. It is committed to Him, His purposes and His tasks.

Derek explains the meaning of rapture as it concerns Christians when Jesus returns. Each of us will be judged. This will not be a judgment of condemnation but to assess the quality of our service and to give the appropriate rewards. Then Derek takes a look at the final overthrow of the antichrist.

Concluding this week’s study, Derek finishes his outline of events after Christ’s return. This includes the establishment of Jesus’ kingdom on earth, the final judgment of the nations, and the coming of the new heaven and earth.
