MIDRAND FM™ - live
Less Talk, More Smile & More Music
The idea of a Midrand radio station was born during the Covid-19 pandemic by well-known media entrepreneur Lloyd Ngavu in order to keep the community of Midrand updated and informative with the Coronavirus disease and for the purpose of community advancement. This brought on board media, technical, volunteers, donors and academic experts. Midrand FM became the first community radio station in Midrand and broadcast 24-hours. Our Mission According to the community, business and church leaders, Midrand FM is an interest-defined community broadcaster that is to serve to serve the cultural interest of the Waterfall City, Vorna Valley, Country View, Carlswald, Crowthorne, Glen Austin, Ivory Park, Halfway House, Halfway Gardens, Vorna Valley, Noordwyk, Randjesfontein, Blue Hills and Kyalami communities. The station’s mandate is to inform and educate the community, with an inherent focus on religious teachings. Another focus of Midrand's programming is to report matters of cultural, political, social and economic significance.
