Leading the conversationSAFM is a South African radio station with a talk format, that broadcasts nationwide from Johannesburg using frequencies ranging between 104 and 107 FM. It is owned by the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
It started as a full spectrum radio in 1936 but nowadays its schedule encompasses only talk programmes dealing with the most relevant issues in today's society (e.g. markets and finance), news programmes with the latest national and international developments, as well as traffic and weather reports, and sports programmes. Its team is composed of well-known personalities of the South African public, even after the departure of important names within the radio, such as Ernest Pillay and Tsepiso Makwetla.
It broadcasts worldwide through the live streaming feature on its website, where the podcasts of its main shows are also available.
