Tru FM is a public radio station targeting young people with creative and innovative content in isiXhosa (60%) and English (40%). The station broadcasts using FM frequencies ranging between 89.3 and 107.8 MHz and live streams worldwide through the internet. It is also available on channel 816 on DSTV.

It offers a line-up with short news reports, music programming, competitions and entertainment shows, with its morning show and afternoon drive being especially popular with the audience. Its music repertoire includes House, Gospel, Kwaito, R&B, Afro Pop, Pop and R&B, the most popular genres amongst an audience between 16 and 34 years old. 

Tre FM also provides the podcasts of its main shows for listeners who wish to catch up on any missed episode.
