Knysna's ownKnysna FM is a unique radio station with programming serving the tourism and business associations of the Garden Route. In partnership with public and private enterprises, the station reports on the daily life on the Garden Route providing useful information such as the locations of facilities like banks, shops and traditional stores, as well as upcoming events and activities in the area. Its line-up also includes entertainment shows, music and news reports.
The station is owned by Wave Broadcasting and Entertainment (Pty) Ltd. and broadcasts from the company's offices in central Knysna to the Garden Route using the frequency 97.0 FM. It also live streams online through the Wave Broadcasting and Entertainment website. Knysna FM shares its unique format and part of its programme schedule with MC 90.3 FM, from Plettenberg Bay.
